Kate created a bookstagram and blog over quarantine!
Kate is an avid book reader in her senior year at UGA. She is working hard toward a degree in English and education and doesn't go anywhere without her bullet journal, her writer's notebook, or a good book!
Over quarantine, Kate decided to take her love for reading and create an Instagram account, @an.introspective.reader. Shortly after, she created anintrospectivereader.org, where she posts about all-things-books!
"My favorite part of both the site and the booksta account is being able to talk to other readers about books and bookish things," Kate said. "I had no idea there was such an awesome community of book people out in the world. I follow/have followers from all of the world and the country, which is so cool to me."
Kate's favorite genres include young adult, romance, and thriller/mystery. Some of her favorite titles are Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers, The Hating Game by Sally Thorne, Pride and Prejudice, the Harry Potter series, The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah, and The Guest List by Lucy Foley.
"I love reading because it’s an opportunity to escape," Kate said. "With reading I can go anywhere and do anything. I can travel to distant places, learn about every type of person, or even escape to a land of fantasy and magic."
