Meet our friendly and bright sophomore, Maggie!

Major: Dietetics

Hometown: Atlanta, GA

PC: '18

What are you most looking forward to?

Definitely Lawndance!!! I have such good memories from Lawndance last year and I couldn’t be more excited for warm weather and sun. Pappy’s field never disappoints.

Biggest thing you’ve learned in college so far?

I think the biggest thing I’ve learned so far, and am still learning, is how to balance everything going on in college. Everybody talks about it, but it is super important to be able to get work done for classes, have a social life, and still somehow get some sleep. Can’t say I’m too much of an expert at this yet though.

If you didn’t have to sleep what would you do with the extra time?

If you drive about 15 minutes outside Athens to the middle of nowhere (literally it’s off a road called Nowhere Road) you’ll stumble upon a magical place called Hull, Georgia where there are fields of cows. If I could, I would spend all my time there because it is the most peaceful place to drive around with music and cows are hands down the greatest animals ever.

Favorite Chi-O memory?

Most of my favorite memories have been from living in the house this past year. From late nights booling around, to movies in the chapter room, and even the many therapy sessions sitting on people’s rugs, sophomore year has treated me well. Shoutout to the best roomie @meghnapatel27. A second close though are the conversations over meals spent with friends at Bolton. I don’t think I've ever laughed that hard in my life, so Bolton holds a special place in my heart.

All-time favorite meal?

Thai👏food👏. You can find me at Athens Wok every weekend guaranteed. My go-to order is pad thai with tofu and no egg. Honorable mention to panang curry of course. If you don’t like Thai food you’re kidding yourself.
